MCP Level K Math starts at the very beginning of math concepts for your kindergarten
student.
While concentrating on real life math skills, Level K also trains your student to have a
strong reading comprehension level. You read chapter stories to your child and the rest of
the problems in that chapter revolve around that story. This teaches your student to think
about what you read and apply it to the lesson and problems given.

Summary of Level K Contents:
Each chapter lists it's objectives at the beginning as well as any needed materials
throughout the lesson. This is a great help in preparation and takes a lot of the tedious
work out of it for the teacher!
The lesson then details page-by-page directions for you on how to introduce the lesson to
your child as well as give you extended activity suggestions to help the concepts
"gel" better.
This book starts with the basics of primary and secondary colors and concludes with your
child understanding the addition and subtraction of small numbers through the number 9.
Delightful and instructional poems and songs that reinforce mathematical concepts are
presented. These easily remembered verses could be repeated throughout.
Motivating and entertaining stories that review previously learned concepts, introduce
each chapter. As you read these tales, about appealing characters to students, they will
be prompted to think about mathematics in applied situations. This will help you bridge
the learning of different skills.
The unique "Blackline Masters" are activity pages in the back of the book. These
pages can be easily reproduced if you'd like to keep your manual intact. The activities
range from coloring at the beginning to telling time and distinguishing shapes towards the
end.

The lesson OBJECTIVES are provided to identify the key concepts students will learn. The
objectives also help keep you on track!
