Science Made Easy and Enjoyable!
Author:
Dr. Jay L. Wile
Recommended for 11th or 12th grade
In order to be able
to understand this text, the student needs to be comfortable with the sin, cos, and
tangent functions along with their inverses. These concepts are covered in Saxon's Algebra
II course. Most other math series actually have a 1-semester course called
trigonometry.
We recommend that the
student take chemistry before physics. Physics is the toughest science, so the student
should have plenty of science experience before trying to tackle it.

What Parents Are Saying
Here are some comments we have
received from the students and parents who have used this course:
- After trying [another company's physics
course], my son was so discouraged I didn't know what to do. When I heard you speak, I
decided to give your course a try. Physics is now my son's favorite subject. I don't know
how I can ever thank you! -- parent
- [My son] is engaged in self-directed
study and . . . has mastered principles and concepts which I would have felt helpless to
even present to him . . . Physics was the only college course I dropped, and I've lived in
dread of attempting to teach it to my children. You have armed us with a new confidence
and competence that is a direct answer to many, many prayers. -- parent
- The way you explain things is so clear.
I never thought I could understand physics . . . This course has got me thinking of
becoming an engineer. -- student
- On my very first test in college
physics, I got the highest score in the class. My professor said that I must have had an
excellent high school physics course. He was right! -- student
- Thank you so much for taking the time
and effort to create a physics curriculum that is approachable and understandable for
homeschoolers whose parents are not familiar with physics. -- parent
