The new 3rd edition Saxon Math
65 Home Study Kit includes the Student Textbook, the Solutions
Manual, and the Tests and Worksheets. The 3rd edition offers
enhanced mathematical content compared to the previous edition, is
softbound, and offers an attractive 2-color layout for the textbook
pages.
Saxon Math 65 3rd edition may be purchased as a complete Home Study
Kit or in part. Answers to problems in the textbook are found only
in the Solutions Manual, which is available as a separate purchase.
The Test and Worksheets are also available as a separate item
providing test questions for review after every five or ten lessons
in the student textbook plus consumable problem solving exercises,
investigations, facts practice, and activities for the entire
course. Various recording forms are also provided for both teacher
and student.
Typically used in the fifth grade, Math 65 reviews and expands all
of the mathematical content introduced in Math 54 in an integrated
basic mathematics course. The emphasis on problem solving continues
as students are called upon to apply mathematical tools and
techniques to real mathematical situations through word problems.
Math 65 includes whole number concepts and computation, mental
computation, patterns and functions, measurement, and statistics and
probability. Work with fractions, mixed numbers, decimals, and
geometry is significantly expanded. Students are introduced to
