HORIZONS MATH OVERVIEW
Horizons Mathematics is designed for the visual learner with emphasis on learning math using manipulatives. This hands-on approach makes elementary math enjoyable for both parents and students. Brightly illustrated lessons and a variety of activities make learning fun. Complete Teacher materials make it easy to chart your student’s progress. Parent/student interaction is an integral part of the Horizons Program.

HORIZONS SECOND GRADE MATH
Horizon 2nd Grade Math continues to build on the concepts previously taught in kindergarten and first grade. Complex addition and subtraction problems, American measure (linear, weights, and liquid), Fahrenheit thermometer, ration, decimals, calculation of area, perimeter and volume, and multiplication are stressed throughout the year.

ITEMS INCLUDED IN THE SECOND GRADE MATH BOXED SET:
The 2nd Grade Math Boxed Set includes the student and teacher book materials but does not include the math manipulatives, which are required by the curriculum. The math manipulatives may be purchased separately. The Boxed Set with the manipulatives gives you everything you need to successfully complete kindergarten math instruction.

As shown in the photo at the top of this page, the boxed set includes 160 lessons, divided into two student books and a complete daily lesson plan in the 2-part, spiral-bound Teacher Handbook. plus a Student Worksheet Packet. The Teacher's Handbook includes reproducible masters.
