HORIZONS MATH OVERVIEW
Horizons Mathematics is designed for the visual learner with emphasis on learning math using manipulatives. This hands-on approach makes elementary math enjoyable for both parents and students. HORIZONS FIRST GRADE MATH
Horizon 1st Grade Math carefully builds on the excellent foundation laid in kindergarten. Students not only become proficient with the familiar concepts of counting, addition, and subtraction, but also begin to relate these basics to more challenging concepts such as time, fractions, sets, graphs, sequence, estimation, and units of measure.

ITEMS INCLUDED IN THE FIRST GRADE MATH BOXED SET:
The 1st Grade Math Boxed Set includes the student and teacher book materials but does not include the math manipulatives, which are required by the curriculum. The math manipulatives may be purchased separately. The Boxed Set with the manipulatives gives you everything you need to successfully complete kindergarten math instruction.

As shown in the photo at the top of this page, the boxed set includes 160 lessons, divided into two student books and a complete daily lesson plan in the 2-part, spiral-bound Teacher Handbook. plus a Student Worksheet Packet. The Teacher's Handbook includes reproducible masters.
