| World Geography and You is a
geography curriculum which includes a 405 page hardcover student textbook and a 96 page
Teacher's Guide book. You may also purchase the student
textbook or the teacher guidebook separately. Students learn about all parts of the world's
geography, continent by continent with special focus on selected countries of the world.
Beautifully illustrated with full color photographs throughout. Also includes extensive
skill building exercises such as 'reading a map', plus dozes of full color maps, charts,
graphs and diagrams.
World Geography and You is recommended for
3rd to 6th graders, but is also gives special attention to meeting the needs of middle
school and high school students who have below average reading levels or learning
difficulties.
The Teacher's Guide book has been designed
to enhance the activities and learning opportunities in the student book. For each
chapter, the teacher is provided with additional educational materials to reinforce
concepts and skills. The teacher is also given additional resources to stimulate the
interest of pupils who read at low levels or have learning difficulties. The Teacher's
Guide includes a scope and sequence, unit planners, and teaching strategies for each unit
and each chapter.
The student textbook presents 8 complete
units as listed below. In total, the textbook presents 47 chapters in 405 pages providing
a thorough overview of world geography. Recommended for 3rd to 6th graders.
