| This is the Teacher Guide
book designed to go with the Economics: Concepts and Applications curriculum. The 24 page
Teacher's Guide book presents teaching strategies for each chapter in the student book.
For each chapter, the teacher is given the objective, new vocabulary words, vocabulary
activities, reading words, review words, pre-reading activities, post-reading activities,
and discussion questions. The Teacher's Guide also provides the Answer Key for all of the
review questions presented at the end of each chapter in the student textbook. The review
questions include vocabulary, comprehension, critical thinking, and skill building. You may also purchase the student textbook separately or purchase the complete set together.
Students read about all parts of the
economy. They learn what causes the economy to do well one year and not so well the next.
They read about the kind of economy we have in the United States compared to the economies
in other nations. They learn about banks and how they do business. They learn about money
and its role in the economy. Finally, they learn about how the economy of the United
States depends on economies in other nations.
Seven complete units, as listed below,
provide an overview of economic basics. Students gain valuable insights to help them
understand how money is used as an exchange system for goods and services. Recommended for
