| The hardbound Student Text
includes 20 chapters and 529 pages. The Student Text is full color
and allows for independent reading and material for discussion. Additional articles called
Facets provide further exploration of special topics from each chapter. The student text is filled with answers to
puzzling questions about why things happen and how things work. But this text does more
than answer questions, it is intended to stimulate new questions that will cause students
to expand their knowledge. The text takes students inside an atom, lets them 'see' what
happens in solids, liquids, and gases; helps them discover the forces that make things
move or keep things from moving; and will show students forms of matter that scientists
are just beginning to understand.
In this text, students will read about
many scientists' observations. Sometimes they will be asked to make their own
observations. When possible, what the Bible says about the topic will be presented. The
contents of the Student Text are divided into 6 units of study, listed as follows:
- Philosophy of Science
- Description of Matter
- Atomic Theory and Structure
- Chemical Applications
- Physics in Action
- Wave and Particle Motion
The following chapter topics are covered:
- Science and the Christian
