| The spiral bound Teacher's
Edition of the Student Activities book includes 342 pages and provides hands-on investigations to reinforce
concepts presented in the text. The pages are the same as the Student Activities Book except that the teacher
notes are provided in the margins in red letters and the answers to all of the exercise
problems are shown in red letters also. Note: the answers are found only in the Teacher's
Edition. This book provides more
investigation exercises than can typically be completed in one school year. The wealth of
content allows you to select the ones you want to complete. To assist the teacher in making these choices, a chart of
teaching strategies has been formulated and appears in the back of the Teacher's Edition.
Teaching strategies are ways that you might utilize the Investigations.
The activities include the following
different types of exercises:
- Match the phrase with the proper theory that
it belongs with
- Specimen Dissections
- Define the terms
- Fill in the blanks
- Match the name of each man with the phrases
that best describe him
- Fill in the chart with the missing information
- Demonstrate the earth's movement beneath a
Foucault pendulum
- Use Eratosthenes method to measure the
circumference of a globe
- Look at the picture and identify the name of
different devices

Answers to the exercises are shown only in
the Student Activities Teacher's Edition,
