Manual provides hands-on exercises and demonstrations to reinforce biological concepts
presented in the text. The laboratory exercises in this book are designed to go along with
the student text and provide a framework in which students can increase their
understanding by becoming personally acquainted with various biological processes and
organisms. The Lab Manual provides students with exercises to help them study without
having to memorize cold facts. In
this manual, there are about forty main exercises. Some exercises are designed to take
more than one class day to complete, while others take only a few minutes.
Some lab equipment is needed to complete
the Lab assignments. Most of these items are available in the Biology Specimen Dissection Kit, which is a
separate purchase. Items required include scissors, forceps, dropping
pipette, scalpel,
probe, ruler, and culture dish. Note: Not all of the items are included with the kit. |
